I have started on my Halloween cards. I used a rubber stamped image from Unity Stamps. I colored the image with Copic markers and Spica glitter pens. I used patterned scrapbook paper for the background. I added a tree transparency as a part of the background. The Witchy Woman collage sheet is available at Collage Stuff. This woman image is great for Halloween. I added a bird made with a punch and accented the bird with Glossy Accents. German scrap borders (Collage Stuff) were added at the top and bottom. The text is from Tim Holtz Clippings Stickers. These were fun to make!

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-86642091852067504162017-09-16T17:36:00.000-05:002017-09-16T17:36:04.291-05:00Monsters, Oh My! SwapAt the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting a "Monsters, Oh My" ATC swap. I made a background with Authentique papers and vintage test. I added a transparency of a tree, an image from a Cemerony collage sheet, orange glitter glue and a Tim Holtz Halloween Clippings sticker. Black German scrap borders (Collage Stuff) were applied at the tops and bottom. I've had this bat woman collage sheet for several years, but couldn't find a way to use it until today. Thanks for coming to see my monsters!

At the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting a sunflower ATC swap. The background started with a vintage ledger page. I used acrylic paint and stencils from Tim Holtz and the The Crafter's Workshop to make the background. I added strips of washi tape here and there. The sunflower stamp is from Unity Stamps. It's colored with Copic markers, Spica glitter pens and glaze pens. The flowers were outlined with a stabilio all pencil. I added little jewels to each. I love sunflowers and have a large sunflower tattoo on one of my ankles. The sunflower is the Kansas state flower and I'm from Kansas originally. Happy sunflowers to you!

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-31503111162880136212017-08-11T10:09:00.000-05:002017-08-11T10:09:22.263-05:00Put a Bird on It ATC Swap

At the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting an ATC swap, "Put a Bird on It." The background is made using an inventory tag, Distress oxide and Archival inks, Tim Holtz layering stencils and The Crafter's Workshop templates. The bird image is from Unity Stamps. The birds were colored with various artist pens. I cut the branches out of cardstock and colored them brown with Distress oxide inks. Tim Holtz chit chat stickers were added. These ATCs are for a private trade with my friend, Miriam. I used inventory tags (Collage Stuff) for the base. I used a variety of different stencils from Tim Holtz and The Crafter's Workshop with Distress Oxide inks for the backgrounds. The stamped images are from Unity Stamps. They are colored with various pens including Copic Markers and Spica Glitter Pens. I added various embellishments and Tim Holtz stickers. At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, the August Swap is a Letter "D" ATC swap. For two similar ATCs, I used vintage sheet music and vintage journal pages for the background. I used Distress Oxide Inks around the edges and stencil leaves with a The Crafter's Workshop Template. I stenciled in some black accents with another The Crafter's Workshop Template. The girl image is from the Collage Stuff "Tiny Treasures" collage sheet. I colored with girl with Copic markers. I found the dragonfly stamps on the web. The dance definition is from an old dictionary that I copied and aged with Antique Linen Distress Stain. For the third ATC, I started with the vintage sheet music, added part of gelli print and added part of a yellow Victorian Scrap rose available at Collage Stuff. The two dancers are from the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls set and are colored with Copic markers. I used Tim Holtz label letters and various pens for outlining and highlighting. Thanks for visiting my blog today!
I like to keep some blank cards around to personalize for the occasion - birthday, thinking of you etc. I used pre-cut and folded card blanks in 5.5" x 4.25". All of the paints I used are from the Dina Wakley line. I love the bright colors and thicker paint consistency is perfect for stencils. I used stencils from Tim Holtz, Dylusions, The Crafter's Workshop and Stencil Girl. When the paint was dry, I used a white Signo pen to add the white accents. It was fun making these cards. Now all I have to do is a sentiment (or not!) to each one.

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-80752225690462509342017-06-07T20:43:00.003-05:002017-06-07T20:43:36.738-05:00Top 40 Collage BlogsClick on this link http://blog.feedspot.com/collage_blogs/ to visit a site showcasing 40 collage blogs!Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-70829154658705614632017-06-07T20:28:00.001-05:002017-06-07T20:28:39.474-05:00Beatles Private Swap

I'm swapping ATCs with my friend, Miriam. She choose the theme for this month - The Beatles. This is one of my ATCs for our swap. I used a vintage French textbook page for the background. I heavily stenciled it with buff paint and Stencil Girl stencil. The red letters are stenciled with a Dylusions stencil and the dots are stenciled with a The Crafter's Workshop stencil. In my stash, I found a large clock rub-on. I found the Beatles photo on the web and matted it with black cardstock. The album was released in 1963 according to info I found on the web. Twist and shout!

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-89859311466307416662017-06-04T10:42:00.000-05:002017-06-04T10:42:15.923-05:00Tim Holtz Crazy Dog ATC Challenge Swap

At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, I'm hosting a challenge ATC swap using the Tim Holtz Crazy Dog Stamps/Dies. I sent a mini collage pack containing stamped dog images and an assortment of Collage Stuff products to all of the participants. I used one of the same mini collage packs to create my art. I colored the dogs watercoloring with Tim Holtz distress crayons and various types of paint/gel pens. The background is a vintage ledger page with vintage ephemera from Collage Stuff. I stenciled on top of the background using acrylic paints and stencils from Tim Holtz, Dina Wakley and Stencil Girl. Some have Tim Holtz tokens applied. I edged all the dogs with a white signo pen. The edges of the ATC were smudged with black paint and highlighted with a white signo pen. All of the participants were sent the same images, so it's going to be fun to see what everything came up with!

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-80193622955408832182017-04-16T10:54:00.003-05:002017-04-16T10:54:59.464-05:00Paris in the Springtime ATC Swap

At the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting a Paris in the Springtime ATC swap. The background is scrapbook paper. I used images from collage sheets purchased from Mischief Circus and Collage Stuff. The rub-ons are from Tim Holtz. Text from an old French language book is at the bottom of each ATC. I used a Distress Crayon around the edges of the ATC. The Eiffel tower charm is available at Collage Stuff. Happy Spring!

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-34243857379824110812017-04-09T10:34:00.000-05:002017-04-09T10:34:09.320-05:00Yellow Pages ATC Swap

At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, the May swap is a "Yellow Pages" ATC swap meaning use the phone book yellow pages in the art. The background is a portion of the yellow pages stenciled with yellow paint. Victorian scrap flowers are also in the background. The stamped images are from Dina Wakley. They are colored with distress inks/distress crayons and a water brush. The women images and sides of the ATC are outlined with a black Stabilio pencil. Little dots were also made with this pencil. At the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting a Favorite Holidays ATC swap. My favorite holiday is Halloween. I used scrapbook papers and Tim Holtz Halloween ephemera for the backgrounds. The witch image is from Hidden Vintage Studios. Mirrored stars, typed tokens and small talk stickers are all from Tim Holtz.

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-934637638779564962017-04-07T14:48:00.000-05:002017-04-07T14:48:15.099-05:00July Remarkable Women Tag Swap

I am ahead of the game for the July swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group. It's a Remarkable Women tag swap. I've always been fascinated by the art and life of Frida Kahlo. I used inventory tags from Collage Stuff and stenciled the background with Stencil Girl Stencils and acrylic paint. The "Frida" image is a stencil from the Crafter's Workshop. I made adjustments to the stenciled image, closing in some lines, adding white dots to the eyes, etc. I decided to color in the "Frida" image with Titan Buff acrylic paint and then went on to experiment with Distress Crayons on one of the images. The majority of the acrylics paints are from the Dylusions line. I added some Stickles glitter glue to the "necklaces." The paper flowers were colored to match using the Dylusions paints. I added sayings from Tim Holtz that I believe reflect on Frida's life. I had fun making these tags and experimenting!

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-26606549305193934282017-04-06T18:04:00.001-05:002017-04-06T18:04:18.297-05:00More Letter C ATC's

More letter C ATCs. I colored the Tim Holtz Crazy Cats images with acrylic paints, Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and pearlescent watercolors. The backgrounds are geli prints. The April swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group is a Letter C themed swap. I used a gelli plate, stencil, black and white gel pens to create these ATC's. I printed the letter C and the word creative on my PC. At the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting a Favorite Quote ATC swap. I created the background using a gelli print. Some of the prints show a bit of a Tim Holtz background stamp. I used a punch to punch out the holes. The checked paper and vintage text were applied to an ATC base with the hole punched background applied next. I printed out the quote on my computer printer. I used a Fude ball pen to highlight the circles and the text as well apply dots here and there. I just received my set of the new Dina Wakley "Homage to Frida" stamps. I am a big fan of Frida Kahlo's work. I had previously prepared the card background using a gelli print. I stamped the flower stamp with Ranger magenta hue archival ink on the background and added white accents with a white Signo pen. I stamped Frida on watercolor paper with the magenta hue ink and colored her in with various Distress Inks and a water brush. White accents were added with the white Signo pen. At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, the March swap is an Easter tag swap. I used the following items available at Collage Stuff: inventory tags, white lace, burlap string, Victorian scrap, vintage sheet music and small dragonfly brass charms. I started out making a background using acrylic paints and Stencil Girl stencils. The honeycomb in the background is from Tim Holtz. I added vintage sheet music and an image of Easter sheet music. The Easter Victorian scrap was applied next, some vintage sheet music at the bottom, and added the dragonfly charms. "Easter Greetings" was printed and aged with Antique Linen Distress Stain. White lace and burlap string in natural and red finish off the tags. Thanks for coming by to see my Easter tags!Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5056278879139316138.post-91964530638100078432017-02-05T14:36:00.001-06:002017-02-05T14:36:32.223-06:00Letter B ATC Swap

The February ATC swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group has the theme of the letter "B". I started out with an inventory tag (available at Collage Stuff) and over stamped it with a Tim Holtz background stamp. I clear embossed the black stamped image. Next the teal color in the corners with a Stencil Girl stencil and Dylusions paint. I used Distress Inks with Tim Holtz stencils in the lighter part of the background. I stamped the bird image on watercolor paper and colored it with Distress Inks. The bird is standing on black washi tape. I edged the ATC with black washi tape. Thanks for taking a peek at my letter B ATC.

Lisa's Collage Stuff Bloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13839182498251011841noreply@blogger.com0
