Last arch for this swap
I evacuated Friday for hurricane Ike to San Antonio. I could hardly believe that I was able to get a hotel room. I came back to today after keeping in touch all weekend with a friend that lives near by in the Katy area. I came home to minimal damage. My phone land lines don't work and a part of my privacy fence was blown down. I feel very fortunate. In my area, there are many trees pulled up out of the ground and broken off, many broken off branches, many blown down fences, blown down signs and some damage to structures. I didn't see any gas stations open. I saw a Lowe's open and I think a couple of grocery stores, Wal Marts and Sam's are supposed to be open today.

Winging Away Arch
Raven Arch
One new Gothic Arch
Here's a new Gothic arch! This little girl is my new favorite image. I've got to get it on a collage sheet. I think she's adorable! The background is made from layers of paper (scrapbook, sheet music and dictionary pages), paint, stamped swirls and inks. It was embossed with clear and gold embossing powders. The buttons are white. I dipped them in a pigment ink and embossed them with gold embossing powder.

Cemetery Imagery ATC's

Here's a batch of Cemetery ATC's that I did for my Collage Stuff Cemetery Imagery Swap. I used the new Collage Stuff Cemetery Imagery #2 collage sheet. I got out my glazes, Luna Lights, MM and Golden Fluid acrylics and had fun playing. I stamped flourishes in between layers of paint and embossed swirls in gold as a finishing touch. I like to let the stray embossing stay. I added bits of dictionary pages and stick on jewels on some of the ATC's.
