"Mermaid" Art Journal Page Swap

This month's art journal page swap has a "mermaid" theme.  I love the new Dylusions stamps that have the cat and dog heads on human bodies.  I used these heads and made the tails from the "Doodle Delight" stamp set. The images are colored with colored pencils.  I used black and white glaze pens on the dog image.  I finger painted mostly Dylusions paints in the background.  I used Dylusions and Stencil Girl stencils.  The vintage dictionary page was cut sort of in a wave fashion. The words are a Tim Holtz sticker.  My take on mermaids is different, but different is good! Thank you for coming by my blog!

She Went Bump in the Night

This is the back of the art journal page in the previous post.  The front of the page asks if your garden is dark or light, does it have fairies or things that go bump in the night.  The answer is: dark and things that go bump in the night! I used Dylusions ink sprays to color the Dylusions stamped images.  I used mostly Dylusions paints.  The Dylusions skull stencil is used in the background along with Stencil Girl and The Crafter's Workshop stencils. Sometimes art journal spread

This is another one of my journal spreads where I got carried away on the background.  With some adjustments, it worked out fine!  The background uses acrylic paint, stencils, Color Burst and a Dylusion stamps.  I used Permapaque and Posca paint markers around the main image.   Thanks for coming by my blog.

Purple Art Journal Page

Here's a purple themed art journal page.  Most of the paint is gouache.  I used Dina Wakley and Donna Downey stencils.  I love the Donna Downey pods stencil.  I stenciled it with black paint, put the stencil back down and sprayed white Dylusions spray ink over the black to tone it down.  The butterflies are stamped on tissue paper and glued down.  The words are Tim Holtz stickers.

This is the back of the page.  I used Stencil Girl and The Crafter's Workshop stencils with acrylic paint.  I glued down bits of scrapbook papers and vintage text for the background.  I cut circles from washi tape and applied these circles to 3 of the purple circles.  I used a small alphabet stamp for the words, stamping on the sides of a vintage book page.   Thanks for coming by my blog!
