March Easter Tag Swap
At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, the March swap is an Easter tag swap. I used the following items available at Collage Stuff: inventory tags, white lace, burlap string, Victorian scrap, vintage sheet music and small dragonfly brass charms. I started out making a background using acrylic paints and Stencil Girl stencils. The honeycomb in the background is from Tim Holtz. I added vintage sheet music and an image of Easter sheet music. The Easter Victorian scrap was applied next, some vintage sheet music at the bottom, and added the dragonfly charms. "Easter Greetings" was printed and aged with Antique Linen Distress Stain. White lace and burlap string in natural and red finish off the tags. Thanks for coming by to see my Easter tags!

Letter B ATC Swap
The February ATC swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group has the theme of the letter "B". I started out with an inventory tag (available at Collage Stuff) and over stamped it with a Tim Holtz background stamp. I clear embossed the black stamped image. Next the teal color in the corners with a Stencil Girl stencil and Dylusions paint. I used Distress Inks with Tim Holtz stencils in the lighter part of the background. I stamped the bird image on watercolor paper and colored it with Distress Inks. The bird is standing on black washi tape. I edged the ATC with black washi tape. Thanks for taking a peek at my letter B ATC.

Paint Chip ATC's
In my previous post, I listed my first ATC for this Paint Chip ATC challenge. Here are the last two! I used vintage text, strips of paint chips, stencils, acrylic paints and stamped images (Tim Holtz stamps). I stamped the images directly onto paint chips and cut them out. I popped up the stamped images. Thanks for coming by my blog today!

January Art Journal Page Swap
I'm hosting another year of the art journal page swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group. For January, my page is a vintage theme, with nature. The images are from Collage Stuff and Mischief Circus. I used a variety of stencils with acrylic paints for the backgrounds. Stamps from Tim Holtz and Rae Missagman were used in the backgrounds. Some stamped images were heat embossed. The white doilies, blank raffle tickets and computer punch cards are available at Collage Stuff. Thanks for coming by to view my January art journal page.

Greeting cards
It seems like I always need some sort of a card for something. I made some greeting cards that are pretty generic that can be used for almost any occasion. I started out with a sheet of watercolor paper. I stamped the Dina Media round stamp and embossed with black embossing powder. Next I applied watercolor. I cut up the sheet into card size pieces and I didn't like them. No problem! I cut the watercolor paper into strips and more or less randomly glued the strips to a card front. The cards looked kind of plain, so I stamped the round stamp again in different places on each card. I followed that with some black watercolor speckles. I have a Tim Holtz stamp set with many different salutations that I can use to add a message to each card. I popped up the "thinking of you". Using the thick watercolor paper strips also adds texture the the cards. These cards will also work for both genders. Try this! I think you'll like the results! Thanks!

Standards Art Journal Spread
This is another art journal spread in Lin's journal. The base of the pages are vintage phone book pages. I added some stenciled deli paper done in red tones with glitter bead gel added for texture. It was too bright, so I toned it down with white paint. In the middle of spread, I used a flower stencil with red paint, toned down the red with white paint, stamped in black and more white paint over the black stamping. The woman image is from Tim Holtz. The woman images were colored with Copic markers and a red glitter gel pen. The words are a Dylusions stamp. Thanks for coming by my blog!
