La Belle
Something different than the other 2 canvases. I wanted to do a more vintage collage, so here she is, La Belle. This is a mixed media collage on 6" x 8" canvas board. The background is done with acrylic paints. I stamped with a scroll stamp with white paint. I used one The Crafter's Worckshop flower templates and sprayed with sour apple Perfect Pearls Mist. It's a soft, yet interesting background. The rest of the stuff is glued down with gel medium. Thanks for stopping by!

Walk or Dance
I call this piece "Walk or Dance". I started with a 6" x 8" canvas board. I used various stamps, acrylic paints, The Crafter's Workshop Cosmic Swirl template, gesso, gel sticks, Tim Holtz Distress Markers, various spray inks and vintage Chinese text. The main image is a Dyan Reaveley Dylusion stamp that was stamped on white cardstock, embossed with black embossing powder, and colored with various spray inks. I used a paintbrush with the spray inks. The words are from another Dylusions stamp. I had fun creating this! Thanks for stopping by!

You are Beautiful!
This is called "You are Beautiful." It's a mixed media piece on 6" x 8"canvas board. I bought Kate Crane's Art Journaling CD's and decided to try something in one of her styles. The main image is from Crowabout Studio B at the Deviant Scrap website. I used acrylic paints, white gesso, oil pastels, gel sticks, Pitt pens, a white gel pen, a template from The Crafter's Workshop and vintage dictionary scraps. The title of one of Kate's CD's is "There are no mistakes in art." I made mistakes creating this that I was able to turn around, so they were no longer mistakes! Working with acrylic paints is pretty forgiving. Everything doesn't have to be perfectly stamped as the tone of this is not perfect. If you are thinking about art journaling or want to learn some new techniques, I highly recommend Kate's CD's. You can find more info at Kate's blog. As time permits I will work on some smaller canvases. Thanks for stopping by!
