The flowers are Victorian scrap, the heart is German scrap and the words are from the Victorian Valentine collage sheet - all available at Collage Stuff. I edged the ATC with a pink Posca glitter pen. Thanks for stopping by today and Happy New Year!

I'm hosting a clocks themed artist trading card swap on the artisttradingcards yahoo group. This is my art for the swap. I found the image of the man and the ship in my stash. The numbers are all from UK bus tickets. The floral Victorian scrap is available at Collage Stuff and the little Venise piece was something I found in my stash. I never know what I'm going to find in my art stashes. Thanks for coming by today!
I'm still making March calendar pages for the Collage Stuff 2017 Handmade Calendar Swap. I got in some new stencils from Stencil Girl and I'm particularly loving the "bullseye" stencil. I found some white foamy stickers in my stash. They're perfect because I can color them with paint to match the art. Thanks for coming by today to view my calendar pages!
At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, I'm hosting a handmade calendar swap. The pages are 4" x 6" and 13 pages must be handmade. The backgrounds are made with acrylic paints and stencils. I used Dylusions stamps, a Unity stamp, and a Dina Media stamp. The images are colored with glaze pens, colored pencils and souffle pens. Usually I made all of my 13 pages the same, but this time it's looking like they will all be different! Thanks for stopping by to see some of my calendar pages.
The recipient of my August art journal page swap requested vintage. The front of the page uses images from Tumble Fish Studio. The background is made from stencils and acrylic paint. I covered the puzzle pieces with an image from a Collage Stuff collage sheet. I used stencils and acrylic paint to make the backgrounds. I finished off the ATC's with a brass charm and Tim Holtz small talk word. Thanks for coming by to view my "puzzling" ATC's!
The May swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group is a rubber stamped tag swap, meaning to use at least one rubber stamped image in the art. I made my usual background on vintage text or sheet music using stencils and acrylic paint. I used a text stamp in the background as well. I used glitter bead gel through stencils as the final background layer, but it's hard to see in the photos. The stamped images are from Dylusions colored with glaze pens, metallic gelly roll pens and colored pencils. The stamped image are popped up. The little flowers are old chipboard buttons from Maya Road embellished with a white Signo pen. Thanks for coming by my blog today!
The April swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group is an ATC swap themed "Ticket to Ride". This could be done as a Beatles song swap or a travel-theme. I used vintage phone book pages for the base and stenciled with acrylic paint using the Tim Holtz mini layering stencils. They are perfect for ATC's. Next came the car image from Itkupilli, followed up by an image from the Collage Stuff Beauties Post collage sheet. I used a black Fude ball pen to outline the car, the words and to make a border on the ATC. Thanks for coming by to see my "Ticket to Ride" ATC's!
For the art journal page swap for April, my pages needed an "Oriental" theme. I used images from Tumble Fish Studio for this page. I outlined the images with a Fude ball pen and applied washi tape as a frame.
I painted this page red and then stenciled black and silver flowers with a stencil from Stencil Girl. I used pages from a vintage dictionary on both pages. I glued the dictionary page onto cardstock and die cut it with a Tim Holtz die for the lattice. The playing card is available at Collage Stuff. I applied washi tape on the left side of the page. Thanks for visiting my blog today!
The theme of the pages I needed to make for March was "home". I used stencils by Stencil Girl, Tim Holtz, and The Crafter's Workshop with acrylic paint. On the home sweet home page, I used a Tim Holtz die and Tim Holtz label letters. On the heart makes a good home page, I started out with a gelli print, put down the women mask and sponged black paint around the mask. After that, I put another stencil down over the mask and sponged gold paint. I used a white signo pen and black Fude ball pen. I had fun making these pages! Thanks for taking a peek at my pages!
I got these new Dylusions bird stamps this week and I love them! I made the card base using acrylic paints and stencils from Stencil Girl, Tim Holtz, and Joggles. The birds are stamped on white cardstock with black ink and clear embossed. I colored them with Posca paint pens. Thanks for coming by to see my new bird cards!
In my previous post, I listed my first ATC for this Paint Chip ATC challenge. Here are the last two! I used vintage text, strips of paint chips, stencils, acrylic paints and stamped images (Tim Holtz stamps). I stamped the images directly onto paint chips and cut them out. I popped up the stamped images. Thanks for coming by my blog today!
The March ATC swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group is a paint chip challenge swap. I cut paint chips into strips and glued them down on the background paper. The image is from the Collage Stuff Broken Collage Sheet. I colored it with Copic markers. The gold German scrap border is also available at Collage Stuff. Thanks for coming by my blog today!
The February swap at the Collage Stuff yahoo group is a birdhouse ATC swap. I wanted my birdhouse ATC's to have a Valentine's Day theme too. I cut a rough house shape from chipboard and covered it with an old phone book page. Then I stenciled with acrylic paints using Tim Holtz and The Crafter's Workshop stencils. I used washi tape for the "roof". The red hearts and black birds are German scrap (Dresden trim) items available at Collage Stuff. I painted some paper with gold paint to fill the heart shape. To back the house shape, I used black illustration board embossed with gold detail embossing powder and script stamp. I edged everything with black paint. Thanks for coming by to view my birdhouse ATC's!
There is a challenge this month at Carolyn Dube's blog to include something you'd normally throw away in your art. I used a paper plate and a losing scratch off lottery ticket. My color palette is taken from the lottery ticket colors. I glued down my lottery ticket. I cut up the paper plate and glued it down. I used almost all the paper plate. After that I got to work with the paint, stencils and pens. Thanks for coming by my blog and viewing my "winning isn't everything" journal page!
At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, the January swap is a celestial tag swap. I started out by applying some vintage text to a tag. I painted a pearl paint over the text. I applied gold paint to my 4" round gelli plate and stamped it at the top right and bottom left. I stenciled the woman and the dots at the top with navy blue paint. I applied the jewel stars and glued a mirror star in the middle. I ran a strip of gold German scrap border up the right side. I painted the white lace with the gold and navy blue paint. The "twinkle"letters are Tim Holtz label letters. I had fun making these tags! Thanks for coming by to see my celestial tag!
