There is a challenge this month at Carolyn Dube's blog to include something you'd normally throw away in your art. I used a paper plate and a losing scratch off lottery ticket. My color palette is taken from the lottery ticket colors. I glued down my lottery ticket. I cut up the paper plate and glued it down. I used almost all the paper plate. After that I got to work with the paint, stencils and pens. Thanks for coming by my blog and viewing my "winning isn't everything" journal page!

Journal play!
Just playing around this morning in one of my art journals! There's some vintage text and strips cut from an old calendar in the background. Mostly Stencil Girl stencils and one The Crafter's Workshop template. I used modeling paste, stencils, Dylusions paint (my favorite paint), Dina Media paint, a geli print and a few pens. It's relaxing to just play in a journal! Thanks for viewing my play!

Pondering Art Journal Page
This is a page in my 9x12 journal. I started out making a background with Stencil Girl stencils and Dylusions paints and kind of overdid it. I recently bought the Stencil Girl Bold Flowers stencil that is a stencil plus masks. I used 3 of the flower masks and black paint. I used a white glaze pen to doodle and add journaling. Thanks for coming by my blog!

Never Ordinary art journal spread
This is a spread in my own art journal. It's a small Dylusions art journal. This is the first time I've used my new Dylusions paints and I love the vibrant colors! I started out with a geli printed background. Next I layered on different sorts of vintage ephemera. I added the Tim Holtz letters/number next. Then it was time to stencil, stencil, stencil! I used stencils from Stencil Girl, The Crafter's Workshop and Dylusions. The Tim Holtz word stickers were added last. I had fun making these pages. Thanks for coming by my blog!
