Sunflower ATC Swap

At the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting a sunflower ATC swap.  The background started with a vintage ledger page. I used acrylic paint and stencils from Tim Holtz and the The Crafter's Workshop to make the background.  I added strips of washi tape here and there.  The sunflower stamp is from Unity Stamps.  It's colored with Copic markers, Spica glitter pens and glaze pens.  The flowers were outlined with a stabilio all pencil. I added little jewels to each.  I love sunflowers and have a large sunflower tattoo on one of my ankles.  The sunflower is the Kansas state flower and I'm from Kansas originally.  Happy sunflowers to you!

Colorful Notecards

I like to keep some blank cards around to personalize for the occasion - birthday, thinking of you etc.  I used pre-cut and folded card blanks in 5.5" x 4.25".  All of the paints I used are from the Dina Wakley line.  I love the bright colors and thicker paint consistency is perfect for stencils. I used stencils from Tim Holtz, Dylusions, The Crafter's Workshop and Stencil Girl.  When the paint was dry, I used a white Signo pen to add the white accents.  It was fun making these cards.  Now all I have to do is a sentiment (or not!) to each one.

More Calendar Pages

I'm still making March calendar pages for the Collage Stuff 2017 Handmade Calendar Swap.  I got in some new stencils from Stencil Girl and I'm particularly loving the "bullseye" stencil.  I found some white foamy stickers in my stash.  They're perfect because I can color them with paint to match the art. Thanks for coming by today to view my calendar pages!

December Art Journal Page Swap - Nature

My December person has a nature theme for her art journal.  I used Dina Wakley stamps, tons of stencils from different manufacturers, acrylic paint and Inktense pencils.  I'm done with my pages for the Art Journal Page Swap for this year! Thanks for coming by to view my nature page!

Mermaid Art Journal Page Side Two

I had fun making this page!  I designed the mermaids from elements from a Crow-About Studio B digital image kit.  All of the images are from the kit.  The background arches were made with a negative impression of a Stencil Girl stencil on a gelli plate.  The black stenciling was made with some Tim Holtz stencils and the white circles used a Stencil Girl stencil.  I outlined the images with colored pencils and a Fude Ball Pen.  Thanks for coming by to see my mermaids!
