It's Puzzling ATC Swap

At the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting a swap titled "It's Puzzling."  At least one puzzle piece must be used on each ATC.  These are my ATCs for the swap.  Thanks for viewing my art!

Letter "D" ATC Swap

At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, the August Swap is a Letter "D" ATC swap.  For two similar ATCs, I used vintage sheet music and vintage journal pages for the background.  I used Distress Oxide Inks around the edges and stencil leaves with a The Crafter's Workshop Template. I stenciled in some black accents with another The Crafter's Workshop Template. The girl image is from the Collage Stuff "Tiny Treasures" collage sheet.  I colored with girl with Copic markers. I found the dragonfly stamps on the web. The dance definition is from an old dictionary that I copied and aged with Antique Linen Distress Stain. For the third ATC, I started with the vintage sheet music, added part of gelli print and added part of a yellow Victorian Scrap rose available at Collage Stuff.  The two dancers are from the Tim Holtz Paper Dolls set and are colored with Copic markers. I used Tim Holtz label letters and various pens for outlining and highlighting.  Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Favorite Quote ATC

At the artisttradingcards yahoo group, I'm hosting a Favorite Quote ATC swap.  I created the background using a gelli print. Some of the prints show a bit of a Tim Holtz background stamp. I used a punch to punch out the holes.  The checked paper and vintage text were applied to an ATC base with the hole punched background applied next.  I printed out the quote on my computer printer.  I used a Fude ball pen to highlight the circles and the text as well apply dots here and there. Thanks for coming by the blog today!

Frida Greeting Card

I just received my set of the new Dina Wakley "Homage to Frida" stamps.  I am a big fan of Frida Kahlo's work.  I had previously prepared the card background using a gelli print.  I stamped the flower stamp with Ranger magenta hue archival ink on the background and added white accents with a white Signo pen.  I stamped Frida on watercolor paper with the magenta hue ink and colored her in with various Distress Inks and a water brush.  White accents were added with the white Signo pen.  The words are Tim Holtz chit chat stickers.  Thanks for stopping by to view my new Frida greeting card.

Every Day Art Journal Spread

I got in a some new stencils from iStencil and decided to put them to use.  I used Dylusions paints (my current favorite paint), stencils from iStencil and Stencil Girl, glaze pens, and some vintage text.  The patterned paper is some gelli printed paper that I made. The drips were made with acrylic ink.  I never know how my art journal pages will end up.  I just start and go where they lead!  Thanks for coming by my blog!

Embrace Imperfection Art Journal Spread

This is a spread in my Dylusions small art journal.  I'm almost at the end of the journal, making it hard to photograph.  I used a gelli print for the backgrounds.  Since the background gelli print is so busy, I broke it up with Japanese vocabulary cards and vintage Flinch game cards.  I used Dina Wakley stamps, a Donna Downey stencil, washi tape, a Tim Holtz stamp and sticker.  Thanks for coming by my blog!

Use Your Wings Art Journal Spread

This spread is done in my small Dylusions art journal.  I'm almost at the end of it making it hard to photograph.  I used a couple of gelli prints done on old book pages for the backgrounds. I added some modeling paste and spray inks.  All of the stencils used are Stencil Girl stencils.  I added the white dots with a Posca paint pen.  I cut words out of an old book to apply to the birds. "Use your wings" is a Tim Holtz sticker.  Thanks for coming by my blog!

Valentine's Day Card

Last night I decided I had to get my Valentine's Day cards done.  I mono-printed some background papers using stencils from Stencil Girl and The Crafter's Workshop with my gelli plate. The hearts are die cuts from a Sizzix set.  I added sequin hearts and a gold German scrap arrow available from Collage Stuff.  I added some bling with the hot pink jewels at the top and bottom.  The sentiment on the inside reads "happy valentine's day" except for my single friends, the sentiment reads "happy un valentine's day."  Thanks for coming by my blog!

Another journal page with a gelli print

This journal page goes with the journal page in my previous post.  I used a part of one of my gelli prints.  I like red and copper together.  This page has red and copper, mainly red.  Thanks for stopping by!

Journal Page with Gelli Print

Today I decided to use one of my new gelli prints in an art journal page.  Something new at Collage Stuff are book pages from the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics.  The pages are all very interesting - tables with numbers, equations, and more numbers.  I love numbers in backgrounds. Thanks for stopping by!
