Halloween Tag

The September swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group is a Halloween tag swap.  Halloween is my favorite holiday!  The dog and witch image are from Hidden Vintage Studios at the Deviant Scraps website.  The tag, ribbon, charms, German scrap spider web and Tim Holtz Label Letters are available at Collage Stuff.  I used Chillingsworth Manor papers that were in stock last Halloween at Collage Stuff.  If you'd like to participate in this swap, join the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group.  Thanks for stopping by!

Second altered bingo card

This is my second altered bingo card for the August swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group.  My attempts at making a decent background on this bingo card failed, so I fixed it by covering it up with vintage text and different sorts of tapes! The woman, "beauty", hands and legs are from Tumble Fish Studio at the Deviant Scraps website.  The text, brass corners, and vintage number stickers are available at Collage Stuff.   If you'd like to participate in this swap, join the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group!  Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Postcard #3

Here's my third altered postcard.  This postcard reminded me of Frida Kahlo for some reason, so Frida it is!  The Frida image is available at Collage Stuff.  I printed out some little black and white squares and trimmed them down for the frame on the postcard.  The other images are from Crow About Studio B at the Deviant Scraps website.  I used gold Liquid Pearls to accent different areas of the postcard.  The tiny black buttons and the heart jewel brad are also available at Collage Stuff.  Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Postcard Swap

I'm hosting an altered postcard swap at the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group in April.  It's always a VERY good idea for me to come up with a sample before I post the swap.  So here's a sample that I made.  I used an old postcard that shows a British war memorial.  I decided to keep the memorial theme and added cemetery angels, flowers, music, a clock and a photo of a British serviceman.  Before I started I scanned in the postcard.  No way was I working on the postcard to start with.  Working with the scanned image let me finalize the design before committing to it. I stamped the postcard with coffee archival ink but masked the memorial statue, so that it would not be stamped.
The cemetery angels, flowers, British serviceman photo, clock button, and German scrap are all available at Collage Stuff.
If you'd like to participate in this swap, join the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group.  I'll be posting this swap later on in the week.
Thanks for stopping by!

Paris Chunky ATC

I'm still making chunky ATCs.  This isn't much different than making regular ATCs.  It's just that the design goes down on a wood block.  I used some new "feet" that I got in stock at Collage Stuff.  I find these much more stable and sturdy than the dice I've used previously.  The dice do add a nice touch of whimsy, but make the chunky ATC sort of unstable.  I used images from Collage Stuff, Tumblefish Studio at deviantscrap.com and from Crow About Studio B at deviantscrap.com.  The embellishments are from Collage Stuff.  The wood block is from Collage Stuff.  I took probably 50 photos to try to get some that looked like the real ATC in person and none of them are quite right.  It's much more vibrant and clear in person.  Try your hand at a chunky ATC!  At the Collage Stuff Yahoo Group, there is a chunky ATC swap going on.  There's plenty of time to participate!

First June Arch

Here's the first arch for June. Who knew I'd wind up with this when I started? I used a mask with black crackle paint. The mask part is almost all covered up. I scratched off some of the paint to reveal the blue and then used gold paint (to cover up the blue mostly and) to make the background look really grungy. Black ink over the gold paint added to the grunge. I like really grungy! The scary tree and ravens are from my Collage Stuff Raven Friends rubber stamp sheet printed on a transparency. I used tiny buttons at the bottom. I also used the drywall tape. I really like this stuff and use it a lot. You can paint it to get whatever color you need. It's also good for making tiny dots using it like a stencil. This has a lot of layers: paint, paper, and transparencies.

New Canvas - Forgotten

Sunday, I bought a bunch of different sized stretched canvas pieces. Here's a photo of a piece I finished last night. It's a 3 x 5" and I've decided I really like this size. I also bought some gel with tiny glass beads in it Sunday and used it here and there on this. Probably the best place to see the tiny glass beads is at the right about 3/4 of the way down from the top or 1/4 of the up from the bottom on the right. This one will be listed at Collage Stuff for sale. http://www.collagestuff.com/
